So now that the month is half way through I was thinking about the films that I have been watching and how it has worked out so far.

I have managed to watch a film everyday except for one, which was the 6th, a Sunday. That day I was going to see if I could catch The Lighthouse in the cinema but I missed it due to the amount of homework I had, and I also had to work. I also meant to watch Sightseers that day but I managed to watch that on the 13th. Other days have worked out and I have do far not added anything new to the list.

I have been happy with my choices so far. There hasn't really been a film that I was disappointed with. The worst one so far, in my opinion, was We Are What We Are, which is actually a remake. It wasn't as good as I was hoping. Other films not as great as I hoped are You're Next, Sightseers and The Perfection.

I was very happy to start with A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. It was amazing. It was more drama then horror but it is so good. It takes place in Iran and is in black and white. It was a great start to the month. Other great finds are A Quiet Place, Hereditary, Us, What We Do in the Shadows and The Witch.

I was very happy with Us. I am really happy with what Jordan Peele is doing with horror today, it is great to see. Same with Hereditary and hopefully Ari Aster can keep it up with Midsommar.

Suspiria is of course by Dario Argento and I knew what to expect and I'm not always 100% on board with Argento, and it kind of just matched what I was expecting. The remake was interesting and seemed to be more inspired by the original then a remake. It isn't really the same plot and the ending is completely different as well as majority of the story but it was very interesting. The character names are the same though. I liked it. It has Tilda Swinton in it. That is always worth it.

So in conclusion, this is going great and I am very happy with the choices that I have made. Tomorrow it's Veronica and I Am Mother.
