ABOUT THE THE SUN & THE SNOW:
I am an aspiring writer, aspiring only in the sense that I haven‘t currently published anything or released anything. My dream is to be a screenwriter but I‘m not closing the door on other writing. Maybe there is a poetry book in my future.
I‘m Icelandic and I live in Reykjavík, Iceland. I‘m currently studying English at the University of Iceland with my focus on literature. I graduated from the Icelandic Film School‘s Writing and Directing program in 2015 and due to money issues, my writing had to take a backseat to a steady paycheck. When I‘m not writing or studying I draw, read or watch films and TV shows. I also enjoy yoga and hiking.
This blog will be full of my own thoughts on various subjects, such as films, literature, TV shows, etc. This is for me to advance my writing and possibly get an extra income. It is also to keep my mind on track about the things that I enjoy since currently I don't really have people around me that want to discuss the things that I want to discuss or to the extent that I want to discuss them. The posts might start getting longer and more detailed as we move along.
The title The Sun and the Snow is a reference to my name. Sunna means sun. It is only ever used poetically in Icelandic or as a name but that is what it means. Mjöll, my middle name means snow. So my name is literally Sun Snow.
