2020, New Year

December 2019 was a hectic month and I have not had much time to do any blogging, or anything for that matter. With the new year starting, thinking about changes and the future, you always wonder about what is coming and what will go out. For me, I want to work on my habits such as: Drinking more water, having a yoga routine, meditate, writing more and prioritizing better.


I do have a good feeling about this year, and that this year is going to be better than the last. I don't know why I feel good about this year but I do. I'm hoping I'm right about it. But it helps with the hope that I will be able to reach my goals this year. And since we are talking about goals I want to talk about some of my goals.


Writing wise I have a few different goals. Last November I put myself my own writing goal for Nanowrimo because I'm writing film scripts and they are shorter than a novel. The Nanowrimo goal is 50.000 words but I put myself a goal of 20.000 words. I didn't manage to get my goal in November due to school. I had to write 3 essays at the end of the month and that didn't help. I managed to get 16.907 words, but I am continuing with my script, currently at 19.115 words and probably going to end at somewhere around 25.000 to 30.000 words, and hoping to finish it this month. At the end of this year I want to have at least a second draft of this script. If possible a 3rd draft. I'm also going to start outlining a second script this month that I want to have a first draft, possibly a second draft at the end of the year. So hopefully I'll have finished the 2nd draft for one script and a 1st draft on the other. I am not going further with these because I have some research to do with both of these so I'm not sure I can rewrite them both this year. I'm considering going for the full Nano goal next month. The idea being to rewrite one script and write a first draft for another. That will depend on my process and on school. I also want to finish a short script I am working on, that I am wondering of turning into a TV show.


As for the blog, I want to get myself a system or a schedule for posting and writing. Like deciding what I want to write about the most and if I want to have specific days for specific subjects. I will try to pull this blog together so that it is better and portrays what I want it to portray.


With exercising and health, I have been meaning to set up a routine for myself that involves yoga and meditation. I have been able to keep up yoga for some time at times in my life but then everything became hectic and the energy level is low it is hard to keep it up and then it is hard to get back to it. I also want to drink more water. The goal is to lose some weight this year. I don't really care how much necessarily but somewhere between 10 - 20 kilos is kind of the goal. That would bring me so much closer to my ideal weight, which is pretty much the ideal weight for my height. I also want to start jogging, but I have such bad stamina that it is hard to jog for more than a minute, so I am going to build up my stamina and build myself up to jogging.


When it comes to the inside, I want to listen to my intuition and work on prioritizing myself a little more. To trust myself and in myself a little more. Also just getting used to putting myself first and not always jumping to and spending all of my time helping others and then building up the energy to do what I want to do.


So that is my hope for the year and the future. Hopefully I'll move forwards this year and I hope that you can do so to.
